way to Punta del Este Montevideo ... and never finished our ordeal, I think it's time to discuss how it ended, which is perhaps the most enjoyable trip I have done, not so much drive around the bike, like to share it with a wonderful woman and aperrada completely as my girlfriend. Day 8
. Punta. point quickly walk through the city showed us everything that was promised to be a very good spa, orderly and clean, people are much more beautiful than the rest of the country (
clear that there were many Argentine ), which recreate the light which allowed both day and night (
still several pint were little girls escort, but that's another subject ) also had good local and best of all is that they discount the
Visa Paula, so I just had to enjoy.
We spent several days in a routine that included sleeping late, Paula
just as heroic succeeded in presenting the breakfast a couple of times, eating something out there (
not say something nice, as we made clear that the food in Uruguay not good, except Chivito ) and basically go through the peninsula and enjoy the beaches and warm waters, truly a delight to be drifting and thinking that about the same latitude our compatriots died due to cold Humboldt current, swim hard and quietly, as the Playa Mansa
was really a delight.
At night, the thing was going to eat or go to the Casino, at this point in our gambling had no limits, more over supported by the fact that in general we won something every night, the Casino de Punta not really enjoy it, as compared to Conrad
there was nowhere to be lost, more luxury, more fun and on top we were greeted with a fireworks display over the sea ... what better? I stole the car, it is true, but neither had been able to enter the country?
Last
day we decided to cross Gorriti Island, which was a English enclave on batteries and all, but in very poor condition, finally fix everything, we took the bikes (
virtually no use and we spent much of the day on the water ) and took a walk around town, most of all to justify carrying them. Still kept
impressed with the civility of the people and respect for property, in fact in the Mall had to leave the bike with all the equipment in the parking lot, tied with the typical chain not more, everything was back in place and no one had put his hand to anything, it sounds third world that is rich enjoy pucha of such things.
finally decided to travel at night to earn a day and it was a mistake, and I slept lousy bus up and make the transfer as 05:00 in the morning is not no fun, even worse, a bus did not stop mourn, so I got quite upset Baires.
Day 13. Baires. exit the terminal of a taxi driver buquebus super nice touch, there was no problem for the transport of bicycles, so we ask the phone to coordinate the return trip to Ezeiza. We arrived at the Ritz
, a very nice hostel with a history of Hotel, we could not sit still as our room had not completed the check-out, so we went on a Sunday morning looking for something to eat ... ended up in a cafe with a background current tango was a pleasure to return to our city's gastronomy, a strong breakfast and every newspaper in the country to hang out, although I must admit that as about 10:00 I was tempted to give down and sleep anywhere after a while we take advantage of buying tickets for
Dracula, the Musical .
In the afternoon, after a nap, we attended our second musical journey at that point we had passed the bill and we could not eat the same quantities as in the beginning (which to be honest
I have not managed to lower ), which obviously turned into a tragedy for the market for Muzza ...
So after wandering for a while we went to see Dracula, with a fun staging, special effects and some really impressive performances, no doubt we should have that kind of shows here, at least not as expensive or as far as to re- view ...
Day 14. Day buy gifts for them traveled around the center, we find a lot of fun things in general the level of local prices, say, official souvenir is expensive, but looking (and not much
) one finds several fairs "Craft" that sell the same products much cheaper, like the leather, we turn to some local-offer look and try on without compromise, and I must say that motorcycle jackets were a wonder, and a perfect fit (
despite the great batting by then could no longer hide ... well you still can not ) ... do not buy anything more than souvenirs for the family, then a quick and rich comidita a coffee (
undoubtedly one of the best things are its cafes Baires), a nap, and then spend the evening as no, the Floating Casino
Buenos Aires (previous
ride the subway, just a couple of stations to experience one of the oldest subway Latin America ... or older? ) to vary the balance was completely in our favor, we left too late, we ate and drank for free, in addition to spending some fun times (
gambling +100).
Day 15. Last in the city, preparing the room, buy a few things missing and then take the road home, back were wonderful days, several miles on our bikes and thousands of completely gratifying experience for the evening crossing the Andes, pass over my house in Lampa and finally get to sleep a whole week! never again we woke up and still I could not lose those kilos won! As
in short ...
Buenos Aires: Fun for taxi, rich and cheap eats, poverty tired mind a bit, for the same tired garbage in the streets, but disregards the quality of their premises and what kind of people.
Montevideo: Honestly I did not like a lot, not only expensive, but I felt it was not worth many times what you were paying not only the food (which was bad
) but also the accommodations.
Punta del Este: would return without question, is expensive, but fun and it is possible spend all my time in the warm sea without having to travel farther or worry about dangerous wildlife, except for a couple of living water.
bicycling is easier than you imagine , yes, treat them bad so you have to be prepared and do not mourn for a scratch or two ... nevertheless it is relatively easy to get around by bike, that is, if you usually walk as in Santiago, dodging buses and people do not have big problems to move even more complicated by the large cities such as Buenos Aires (
taking care to look at 5 sides instead of 2 lol ), the bike behaved at the height of the requirements and overall we had no mechanical problems important ... yes greatly missed my bike, especially on long journeys in which he wanted more speed.
I have really wanted to see a show or concert as an excuse to cross on a bike, no doubt that Argentina is a wonderful country to visit it this way, especially the road linking the provinces of the north to Patagonia, I just need a bigger bike and time, and that certainly is scheduled as a Must.
A great trip and a unique company.
